Djokovic on Belgian Clay: "It's Not Even Funny."

Novak Djokovic didn't let his frustration with the shoddy clay court in Belgium stop him from defeating Olivier Rochus in Davis Cup play on Friday

(February 1, 2013) -- Novak Djokovic didn't let the fact that he was playing on what he considered to be the worst clay court that he had ever experienced stop him from playing his usual brand of near flawless tennis in Charleroi, Belgium on Friday. The World No. 1 spanked Olivier Rochus of Belgium 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 in one hour and thirty-nine minutes to expand Serbia's lead in their first-round World Group tie to 2-0.

In a pre-tie press conference, Djokovic didn't mince words when it came to the shape of the indoor clay court in Charleroi. "This is definitely the worst court that we ever played in our lives on," said Djokovic. "With all due respect to the hosts, two people are working on the courts every day. Two people. Two people cannot get this court better on time. It's not even funny. It's ridiculous."

"It's not just about Serbian tennis players," Djokovic continued. "I'm sure that the Belgian players are worried about their health too on this court. It's just an incredible situation."

Djokovic, who led Serbia to the 2010 Davis Cup title, now owns a 20-7 record in Davis Cup singles play.
