Italy's Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci can finally call themselves Wimbledon champions.
Wimbledon - Kvitova Wins Second Wimbledon Title Over Bouchard
The No. 2 seeds posted a convincing straight sets win over Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic in the Ladies' Doubles Final held on Saturday. The overall experience of the Italian team proved too much for Babos and Mladenovic throughout the match.
Errani and Vinci were 50 percent on total break points won while also combining for zero unforced errors during the match. That combination soon led to Errani and Vinci winning the match 6-1, 6-3 in just under an hour.
With their first ever Wimbledon title, Errani and Vinci completed a career Grand Slam as a doubles team. The Italians are previous winners of the Australian Open, French Open and US Open.
They are also the first women's doubles team to win all four majors since Serena Williams and Venus Williams did so back in 2001.
