(May 27, 2011) The morning of day six started off very strong for the seeded players at Roland Garros. Roger Federer and David Ferrer set the tone for the day.

Seventh seed David Ferrer is proving that he is the one of best men on clay this season in his match against 31st seed Sergiy Stakhovsky, winning 6-1, 6-1, 6-3.

Consistency was the name of his game. He played with very few unforced errors, hitting only nine to his opponent's 37, and he was able to win 80 percent of points on his first serve while taking six of seven break point opportunities.

Roger Federer made his third-round match look easyas he won in 90 minutes. The first set was only 19 minutes and the World No. 3 outplayed Serbian Janko Tipsarevic 6-1, 6-4, 6-3 with 39 winners.

The 29th seed could not get past Federer's angled serves and ten aces. Federer hit more errors at 20 to Tipsarevic's 13 but it made no difference as he could not convert a single break point and only 25 percent of points on Federer's serve.

After gracefully making it into the fourth round, Federer told the Tennis Channel, “It’s nice when I get on rolls like this.”
