Caroline Wozniacki wearing blue and black at the 2012 US Open (August 19, 2012) -- Caroline Wozniacki heads into the tail end of the US Open Series defending the singles title at the New Haven Open, where she is the four-time (and defending) champion. The Dane has had a decent run this summer, making the semis of the Rogers Cup in Toronto, and the quartefinals of the Olympics event in London, and the round of 16 in Cincinnati.

Wozniacki lost that round of 16 match at the Western & Southern Open to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, and hopes to focus on the US Open as she begins her matches in New Haven; at the very least, she plans to acclimate to the same balls and court surface that will be used in New York. And the laid-back nature of the event helps. "There's always free courts and practice as much as you want, because you don't get that at the US Open."

And of course Wozniacki will be decked out in her on-court attire, from adidas by Stella McCartney. This US Open collection will showcase dresses and separates in shades of blue, black, white, and grey. Wozniacki, as the exclusive player with this endorsement, works closely with McCartney and the adidas team to create her clothes. They already have the sketches and designs for her clothes going as far as 18 months from now. She's involved in picking colors, shapes, and designs. "It really brings out my own personality in the clothes," she shared about this hands-on involvement.

Caro will open her New Haven title defense against Ekaterina Makarova, and shares the same quarter as Dominika Cibulkova and Andrea Petkovic, who returns from back-to-back injuries that has sidelined the German for most of 2012. They share the same half of the draw as top seed Agnieszka Radwanska.
