Granoller's triumph sets up an all-Spanish final, as Guillermo Garcia-Lopez defeated surging qualifier Roberto Carballes-Baena in the day's second semifinal, 6-2, 6-7(6), 6-4.
Garcia-Lopez is into his sixth career final.
The 30-year-old raced out to a 2-0 lead in the third set after dropping the second in a tiebreaker, but Carballes-Baena, playing in his first career ATP World Tour event, fought back to take the next three games.
But Garcia-Lopez responded in king, taking the next three, and he eventually served out the match for his place in the final in two hours and forty-seven minutes.
Garcia-Lopez owns a 1-0 career head-to-head edge over Granollers. He defeated his compatriot in the round of 16 at Casablanca in 2010 in straight sets.
"Of course it's going to be a different match," Garcia-Lopez told the ATP. "We're in a final now. He's playing really well and motivated. He's going to be really dangerous. I have to be focused and play well."
