French Open runner-up Simona Halep will contest for yet another title this season as she advanced into the Bucharest Open final.

ATP: Bautista-Agut Upsets Fognini in Stuttgart

Halep, Romania's highest ever ranked women's player, faced off against fellow countrywoman Monica Niculescu in Saturday's semifinals. Though Halep took the first set easily 6-2, the match shifted momentum as Niculescu ran off four straight games to win the second set.

Halep, seizing an early break in the final set, would soon run away with a 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 win.

Bucharest is now Halep's fourth final of this year having won Doha earlier and finishing as a runner-up in both Madrid and at Roland Garros.

Waiting for Halep in Sunday's final will be Italy's Roberta Vinci. 2014 has been a very different season for the Italian veteran until this week.

Vinci struggled early in the season on the singles court after a slew of multiple losses. Yet having just won the Wimbledon doubles title with Sara Errani appears to have inspired the 31-year-old Vinci this week.

Vinci took on World No. 166 Kristina Kucova in the earlier semifinal. Facing little resistance, Vinci soon sealed a 6-1, 6-3 win.

Bucharest is now the first final Vinci will contest this season.
