(October 18, 2010) James Blake has gone from wild card to full-fledged poker ambassador. Blake has signed on as a poker ambassador for Full Tilt Poker.com. An avid poker player, who plays online during down time from tennis, Blake joins former NHL all star Wayne Gretzky and British boxer Audley Harrison as a "Friend Of Full Tilt."

Blake has played poker tournaments in the past. He competed in the second season of Celebrity Poker Showdown.

Full Tilt has been signing pro athletes in an effort to boost exposure and traffic to its site and engender acceptance of online poker. Poker is one of the most popular games in the online gambling industry.

Blake returns to action this week with a wild card into the Stockholm Open. It will be Blake's first tournament since he lost to Novak Djokovic in the US Open third round. He opens against seventh-seeded Brazilian left-hander Thomaz Bellucci. In their only prior meeting, the 27th-ranked Bellucci beat Blake, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2, at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami in March.

Roger Federer is the top seed, Sweden's Robin Soderling is seeded second and Tomas Berdych is the third seed in Stockholm.
