London Olympics Mixed Doubles: Belarus Dashes Robson's Medal Hopes

(June 7, 2012) -- The Belarusian team of Victoria Azarenka and Max Mirnyi stopped what would have been the icing on the UK cake -- gold medals in mixed doubles for Andy Murray and Laura Ronson -- by beating them 2-6, 6-3, 10-8. Azarenka also won a bronze medal in women's singles.

The mixed doubles bronze medal was won by Americans Lisa Raymond and Mike Bryan, who also needed to go to a super-tiebreak in their match against Germany's Sabine Lisicki and Christopher Kas. The scoreline: 6-3, 4-6, 10-4.
