(May 3, 2010) Mark Philippoussis' planned walk down the aisle could leave him with sand between his toes.

The two-time Grand Slam runner-up is engaged to "Rescue Me" actress Jennifer Esposito.  While Philippoussis declined to divulge the date of the wedding, he told The Boston Herald he would like a wedding near the water.

"I love the water. The ocean relaxes me. So I would love to get married near the water,” Philippoussis told The Boston Herald.

The one-time star of the reality TV Show "The Age Of Love" has been romantically linked to Anna Kournikova and Paris Hilton in the past, but these days the former Wimbledon finalist has been spending time with one of his long-time loves — surfing.

Philippoussis, who lives near San Diego is an avid surfer who has practiced the sport for fun, therapy, relaxation and as a way to rehab after multiple knee surgeries.

"I’ve been training really hard in San Diego,” Philippoussis said. “I’ll wake up, surf for three hours, then go to the gym for an hour and a half. It’s like my therapy
if I don’t do it for a few days, I kind of start freaking out a little bit. When you surf a wave, I can’t really explain it, it’s an amazing feeling. You forget all your problems."

Philippoussis rode a wave of winners to beat Hall of Famer John McEnroe,
6-3, 4-6, 10-5 on Sunday in Boston to win the $150,000 Staples Champions Cup  for his first career title on the Champions Series circuit.
