Mirnyi, 35, is the 18th ATP player to reach the milestone. His partner Daniel Nestor leads all active doubles players with 871 wins.

"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thinking about the milestone before the match," Mirnyi told ATPWorldtour.com. "Since Cincinnati, really."

Mirnyi, a former top 20 singles player who hails from Belarus, is in search of his 46th career doubles title and 5th of 2012 in Shanghai.
