Day three at the US Open will see the completion of many first round matches and the start of second round action. Here's a few to keep an eye on.

(3) Stan Wawrinka vs. Thomaz Bellucci, Ashe Stadium

Despite being the current Australian Open champion, not many are talking about Wawrinka's chances in New York. That's because since that great title run in Melbourne, his recent results have been all over the place. Wawrinka though has a chance to put those question marks to rest with a good result here. Most will be watching this second round night match to see how Wawrinka's form is after a good first round result.

Pick: Wawrinka

(6) Tomas Berdych vs. Lleyton Hewitt, Ashe Stadium

Perhaps the best matchup of the day. The always dangerous Czech isn't looking so formidable entering the last major of the year. That's why the former champion Hewitt just might pull off the upset. However, this being a day match, the hotter conditions just might suit Berdych better. The New York crowd will get behind "Rusty" making this a potential five-set battle. With Hewitt always playing his best when he senses an opportunity, he just might create the first big upset of the event.

Pick: Hewitt

(19) Feliciano Lopez vs. Ivan Dodig, Grandstand

If you like seeing players run to the net and finish off volleys, this is the match to watch. Lopez is having a career resurgence this summer and is definitely a player to keep an eye on in the first week.

Pick: Lopez

(22) Alize Cornet vs. Daniela Hantuchova, Court 5

Last year's quarterfinalist Hantuchova will take on the always expressive yet always fun to watch Cornet of France in this second round meeting. Will Hantuchova's experience be enough to get her past the woman who has beaten Serena Williams twice this year?

Pick: Cornet

(1) Bryan Brothers vs. Max Mirnyi and Mikhail Youzhny

Doubles gets underway with perhaps the best team of all time taking on a doubles veteran and a singles master. Though the Bryans are the top seeds again, this season has been a struggle for the twins with several unexpected losses. They should get through this opening round, but don't be surprised if it comes down to a super tiebreak.

Pick: Bryans
