(March 12, 2010) INDIAN WELLS — It was party time in Indian Wells on Thursday night.

In a festive setting that featured players pulling up to the party in antique cars to walk the green carpet, a firing squad of photographers, a flowing waterfall backdrop and even a dog cruising the scene on a skateboard, several of tennis' top stars gathered to celebrate the annual BNP Paribas Open player party.

Serbian stunner Ana Ivanovic and Romanian Sorana Cirstea, who arrived together in a white car, looked like sisters and turned heads as they walked the green carpet.

Daniela Hantuchova, who counts a collection of esteemed Italians: Armani, Cavalli and Missoni among her favorite designers, made her professional modeling debut in Madrid two years ago. Hantuchova spent the afternoon playing golf and commanded the carpet like a catwalk when she arrived at the party, which was held at the Indian Wells Club, right next door to the Hyatt, which is where several players are staying.

"It was convenient for everyone so lots of players came, which was great," said Hantuchova.

Fernando Verdasco, always a popular presence with the women on hand, opted for an '80s retro look channeling his inner Michael Jackson with a bright red jacket reminiscent of the "Beat It" video and Miami Vice-style stubble on his face.

Reigning champion Rafael Nadal, who practiced twice on Thursday, looked like he came straight from the shower. A smiling Nadal paused to accommodate photographers.
