RANKINGS REPORT: France's Gilles Simon, a semifinalist in Monaco last week, jumped three spots to No. 12 in the world in Monday's latest ATP rankings.

The 27-year-old native of Nice defeated top 10 opponents Janko Tipsarevic and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga before falling to eventual champion Rafael Nadal in the final four.

Simon moved within striking distance of the Top 10, which saw a minor reshuffling on its back end of idle players: American Mardy Fish and Argetina's Juan Martin del Potro each moved up a spot to No. 9 and 10, respectively, while the US' John Isner dropped back two spots to No. 11.

The clay court season is a notably quiet time for American men over the past 20 years. The last Amercian man to make the Monte Carlo final was Aaron Krickstein in 1991; the last US male to win the event was Hugh Stewart in 1956.

Stanislas Wawrinka and Julien Benneteau each moved up for spots to No. 22 and 27, respectively, with their efforts at Monaco, while The Netherlands' Robin Haase surged 10 spots to No. 45 with his surprising trip to the quarterfinals. Haase reached a career-best No. 40 last October.

On the WTA side, Lisa Raymond is back at the top of the women's doubles ranking list -- the fifth time she's held the No. 1 spot -- with Liezel Huber. This achievement makes Raymond the oldest woman (at 38 years old) to ever have the No. 1 ranking.
