(March 13, 2011) In a very close two set match, Roger Federer fought hard to win against Russian Igor Andreev 7-5, 7-6(4). He will play Juan Ignacio Chela next.

This was the first time Fed was able to beat World no. 96, Igor Andreev in 2 sets.

"He has got a lot of spin. He has got a lot of pace. I was able to handle that better today. There was a good ten minutes I was able to get up 7-5, 2-0, I think. After that he found his way and it became competitive," after his 30th match win at Indian Wells, said Federer.

He had Gavin Rossdale from the popular band, Bush, watching in the audience... as usual. He told the press conference that he has know Gavin and his wife Gwen Stefani for six years. While being in Indian Wells, I have personally seen them canoodling together having dinner and drinks along with the lovely wives.

Sortly after Federer's win, his current arch rival Novak Djokovic took to the court confidently in his night match gear to defeat Andrey Golubev 6-0, 6-4. He will meet Ernests Gulbis next.

Reminding us that his twitter is for "non-tennis," He said his first tweet would be, "Hot first set."

It's looks like Lauren is spending more energy on trying to hang out with the players than on any semblance of factual reporting.

First time beating Andreev? How about fourth time. Out of four. 30th match win? How about more than 24 times that.

How much effort would it take to get it right? Then you can go spy on the players and their wives canoodling all you want.

"This was the first time Fed was able to beat World no. 96, Igor Andreev." - that's incorrect. Their head-to-head was 3:0 Federer's way before the match. Most notable two wins were Australian Open 1R 2010 and U.S. Open 2008.

Hey I went up an clarified in the article. I had to write in it about three minutes. So I meant to say that it is the first time he has beat Andreev in 2 sets and that it is his 30th match win at this particular tournament.

Thanks for pointing out my mistakes so I could fix them.
