(October 26, 2012) -- Two of the brightest American prospects on the horizon haved ended their coaching relationships, Tennis.com reports.

Ryan Harrison has left coach Grant Doyle after finishing the year ranked at No. 61 in the world. After reaching a career-high ranking of 43 in July, Harrison struggled to a slow finish that saw him lose 7 of his last 9 matches.

Christina McHale ended her partnership with USTA Player Development coaching to rejoin New Jersey-based coach Gordon Uehling, Tennis.com reported. McHale had an excellent 2012, reaching a career-high ranking of No. 24 in August. She reached the third round of three consecutive Grand Slams before losing in the first round of this year’s U.S. Open.

Larry Stefanki, who was a coach to recently retired Andy Roddick, is rumored to be one of the candidates to coach Harrison.
