Andreas Seppi - 2012 Belgrade(May 6th, 2012) France's Benoit Paire, with his spectacular and also sometimes erratic game, earned him many new fans at the Serbia Open as well as a trip to the finals. Paire had defeated three seeded players, including top seed Pablo Andujar, but could the Frenchman beat one more seed in Andreas Seppi to claim his first ever ATP Tour title?

Unfortunately for his new Serbian fans, the mercurial if always entertaining Paire appeared to have gone one match too far after he went up a quick 3-1 lead to start the match, Paire was unable to maintain his momentum as Seppi broke back and then went on to claim the first set.

Serving at only 46% for the match, Paire had little to challenge the Italian with as a quick break of serve in the second set was all Seppi needed to ensure victory as he closed out a 6-3, 6-2 win in just over an hour.

"I was stressed and tired today," Paire said. "It's disappointing that I couldn't win any easy games with my serve after leading 3-1 in the first set. My first serve percentage was very low and that's why he was able to attack all the time."

Seppi now goes to 2-1 in title matches having won his first title last year in Eastbourne. For the Italian, getting back into the top 30 is his main goal now.

"My goal is to be back into the Top 30. My highest ranking is 27," said Seppi. "At the beginning of the year, I said I wanted to try and get back there. I'm a little closer now. I'll just try to do it match by match and see if I can manage it by the end of the year."

Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram won the doubles final over Martin Emmrich and Andreas Siljestrom 4-6, 6-2, 10-6.
