Haas did all he could just to win games and though the German put up a fight, it was Djokovic who prevailed 6-2, 6-0.

“I was really focused from the start and I just felt drastically better than in the first few days here in Perth so I think that’s also the reason because I’ve been here a few more days and got some rest, got some practice, got used to the balls, the conditions here so I’m glad I brought Serbia a point,” Djokovic told HopmanCup.com afterwards.

Ana Ivanovic then faced Tatjana Malek in the women’s singles match and again it was all Serbia. Ivanovic only lost 15 points in the entire match to secure a 6-0, 6-1 win in just over 30 minutes.

Haas, who was suffering from a toe injury pulled out of the mixed doubles match. Young Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis, who played as an alternate for the U.S. team when John Isner pulled out of the event due to injury earlier in the week, teamed up with Majek. The match itself was more entertainment with Djokovic and Ivanovic leading the entire stadium in a Gangham style dance at one point before they went on to win 6-2, 7-5.

Serbia will now face Spain in tomorrow’s final. The Spanish team of Fernando Verdasco and Anabel Medina Garrigues reached the final out of Group B with three wins.

Djokovic is seeking his first Hopman Cup title after having lost in the 2008 final with Jelena Jankovic to the U.S. team of Mardy Fish and Serena Williams.
