Serena Plays on Water in Monterrey

(February 20th, 2012) Serena Williams has now played on every kind of court surface, including water. Williams took part in an exhibition along with Gisela Dulko for the Abierto de Tenis Monterrey WTA event taking place this week in Mexico.

Williams, who was the top seed going into the actual tournament, withdrew at the last minute due to an ankle injury suffered in Brisbane last month. But that didn't stop the American star from flying in to hit a few balls with Dulko on a submerged court in front of a packed crowd.

Williams is currently ranked No. 11 on the WTA computer with her next scheduled event being the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami next month.
