Serena Williams’ Home-Intruder Mistaken Identity

By Lauren Lynch

(November 2, 2011) At her home in Los Angeles, Serena Williams retreated to her in-house panic room after her security cameras picked up an unidentified man on Wednesday, October 26th. After contacting the police, they discovered it was a false alarm and the intruder was in fact a drug-tester of an unannounced tennis association, who came unannounced for a urine sample.

Williams’ assistant called the police around 6:00 a.m. last week while the 13-time Grand-Slam champion hid in her panic room before the mistake was discoved. In the past, she has had a stalker, who tried to break into her home and was put in jail, and has had several breaks of security on court so she knew to take this incident seriously.

The story was originally posted by TMZ.
