WTT Smash Hits - Tennis Night for Charity

(June 7, 2012) --

CPCT: Chelsea Piers Connecticut, or CPCT, will be hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the sports complex on July 9. The 400,000 square-foot facility will host summer camps, adult leagues, and individual and team training for a variety of sports. There will be ice rinks, an aquatics center, a baseball and softball training facility, a squash center, and a tennis center. CPCT's Director of Tennis is Gigi Fernandez.

WTT for HIV/AIDS: On October 16, 2012, Andre Agassi, Stefanie (not Steffi!) Graf, and Roddick will appear in the annual charity night of tennis, Mylan World Team Tennis Smash Hits, organized by Sir Elton John and Billie Jean King to raise money for HIV/AIDS. Tickets go on sale July 16 and can be found at the event website.

TC+BM: Tennis Channel announced that it will extend its longtime partnership with commentator Bill Macatee, who has been covering the majors for TC since the network began doing so with the 2007 French Open.

ASICS NYC: ASICS America will be building a showroom at 530 Seventh Avenue and will serve as a business space and East Coast design studio for both the ASICS and Onitsuka Tiger brands. (via SportsOneSource)
