Triple D's Win: Djokovic, Del Potro, and Davydenko Victorious In ATP 250 Finals

(May 1, 2011) Going in strong off to the masters in Madrid- Novak Djokovic wins the Serbia Open, Juan Martin Del Potro wins the Estoril Open, and Nicolay Davydenko wins the BMW Open in Munich.
Showing he will be a force to reckon with on clay, Djokovic faced Feliciano Lopez to win in two sets 7-6(4), 6-2 in Belgrade, Serbia. Djokovic actually had four aces to Lopez's six and six double faults to Lopez's two but managed to save 100% of break points. Still on a phenomenal winning streak in 2011--he is currently 28 wins-0 losses.
Eighth seed Del Potro out played second seed Fernando Verdasco in strait sets 6-2, 6-2 in Estoril, Portugal. He was able to convert five of six break points into wins. In the quarterfinals he took out the defending champion Robin Soderling. He improved his career record on clay court surface to 38-16.
29-year-old and ranked 40 in the World, Davydenko out World No. 35 Florian Mayer in three sets 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 and showed he is still a force to be reckoned with on clay. Davydenko shot seven aces and saved five of six break points. This is his twenty-first title and tenth title on clay court.
