(November 1, 2012)--Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Janko Tipsarevic came through with clutch victories to claim the final two spots at the 2012 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals next week.

Tipsarevic ousted Juan Monaco in three sets, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, while Tsonga won his sixth consecutive decision over Nicolas Almagro, 7-6(4), 7-6(3).

"With the big four at the moment, it’s not easy to get rewards in tennis, so for me this is one of my rewards. It feels good to be a part of it,” Tsonga said.

Milos Raonic was eliminated from the race when he was dumped from the draw by American Sam Querrey, 6-3, 7-6(1).

Frenchman Richard Gasquet and Almagro will likely claim the two alternate spots barring a miracle run from Stan Wawrinka.

Tsonga. 27, will make his third career appearance at the prestigious year-end event. He owns a 4-4 record that includes a trip to the final in 2011. Tsonga lost to Roger Federer in a three-set final.

Tipsarevic, 28, is making his second appearance at the World Tour Finals. As an alternate last season, he defeated Novak Djokovic and lost to Tomas Berdych in round-robin play. “The World Tour Finals last year was one of my best experiences ever on the tennis court,” Tipsarevic told ATPWorldtour.com. “I was always dreaming of playing the world tour finals and I’m excited to be back there.”

Roger Federer has won the event in six of the last nine seasons. Novak Djokovic, the only other former champion to qualify, took the title in 2008.
