Marcos Baghdatis in Miami

Did Marcos Baghdatis hit the luckiest winner of the year last night in Miami? You be the judge.

Many say that luck is where preparation meets opportunity, but in Marcos Baghdatis' case on Wednesday night at the Sony Open, luck was where a errant backhand ends up falling inside the sideline for a winner.

Was the shot the difference in the Cypriot's 1-6, 6-2, 7-5 victory over Colombia's Santiago Giraldo last night? Probably not, but it certainly didn't hurt.

Funny how Baghdatis ended up kissing the hard court in Miami after the victory – maybe he should have been kissing that lucky part of the net?

Baghdatis moves on to face Philipp Kohlschreiber in round two.
