The importance of being Ernests Gulbis can never be underestimated. Even when the Latvian loses he rises to the occasion in his own, special way.

In case you missed it last night, Ernests Gulbis was up to his usual tricks. The tempestuous Latvian played a wildly entertaining—if sloppy—three-set thriller with Grigor Dimitrov at the Abierto Mexicano Telcel, and if it weren't for some brilliant defense by Dimitrov at a crucial juncture in the second set, Gulbis may have came away with the straight-sets win.

But Dimitrov weathered a storm from Gulbis to force a second-set tiebreaker, and once they got there, an already flabbergasted and gassed Gulbis got a little testy.
Okay, VERY TESTY.
You know what they're saying? That poor racquet got GULBISED.
