The first few days of the BNP Paribas Open are pretty light on matches and heavy on media obligations for the tour's top players. By media obligations, we mean, of course, chucking water balloons off a roof.

Good call by the tournament's crack video staff to have a little fun with media day, but next time they really should give the women a human target to shoot for. Wouldn't it be nice to see Li Na throwing water balloons at her husband (though she does a pretty good job hitting the mascot)? And what about Jelena Jankovic throwing her water balloons and her brother? She said just last month that she'd like to smack him in the face – this could be her big chance. Finally, how about Maria Sharapova throwing her water balloons at a cardboard cutout of Serena Williams? A little too over the top? Yeah, maybe so.
