Watch: Holy Moonballs, Batman!

(March 16, 2013) -- Things got a little out of control during last night's BNP Paribas Open semifinal between Caroline Wozniacki and Angelique Kerber. What started as a tennis match ended up as a competition to see who could get more hangtime on their groundstrokes. Good idea for Wozniacki, who has long been the queen of the moonball in women's tennis; bad idea for Kerber, who probably shouldn't have taken the bait.

In the end, predictably, Wozniacki won this battle, and the war, 2-6, 6-4, 7-5. But it was the viewers who had the most fun. A new craze has begun. Moonballs are in, power shots are out.
