(July 15, 2012) -- Welcome another edition of wordplay. This week we'll take out our fine tooth comb to go over the best tweets and quotes from the many tour stops this week.

It was supposed to be a quiet week after Wimbledon, but with four ATP events, two WTA events, and a big Saturday at the International Tennis Hall of Fame, there were plenty of people talking about tennis. Here's what some of them had to say:

---

"It was tough having to leave the game. It's like mourning a loved one that's gone and a relationship's that gone, a part of yourself." -- Jennifer Capriati, on the verge of tears, as she gave her induction speech at the International Hall of Fame.

---

It appears that Ryan Harrison's celebrity hasn't hit Atlanta yet. Maybe if he wins the tournament there this week that will change?

---

"So I promised her the car, if I won the tournament. The points go to me." -- Janko Tipsarevic, on his plans to give the Mercedes Benz SLK 350 that he got for winning the Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart to his wife.

---

Tennis.com's Jonathan Scott is right: Capriati was captivating on Saturday, during her International Tennis Hall of Fame induction speech.

---

"I was there in spirit." -- Bush frontman and dissonance-creator, Gavin Rossdale, on missing Roger Federer's Wimbledon title while touring with the band in the U.S.

---

"We sell the car, we sell the piano, we sell everything....for me to be able to travel around." -- Gustavo Kuerten, on the sacrifices his family made for him during his career, during his emotional speech during this week's festivities at the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

---

Brad Gilbert took to Twitter as Sorana Cirstea was getting screwed by officials in her quarterfinal against Dominika Cibulkova yesterday. Cirstea won 6 challenges in the set.

---

"I have never done this well and I am very happy for that." -- The indefatigable David Ferrer, after capturing his fifth title of the year in Bastad. We're happy for you too, David.

---

Neil Harman of the London Times, telling like it is...

---

"We can't avoid each other when it comes to grass court tennis." -- John Isner, on meeting his good buddy Nicolas Mahut for the fourth time on a grass court this week in Newport. Isner defeated Mahut 6-2, 7-6(2) in the second round and went on to win the title.

---

Courtney Nguyen of SI.com responds to the heart that is laid out in flowers on the grass court for Guga at the Hall of Fame with a bright idea of her own...

---

"I thought someone was playing a joke on me to see how I would react. It was like Candid Camera because there were too many mistakes. I started to laugh because it was just hilarious." -- Sorana Cirstea, commenting on the abysmal challenge that led to six successful challenges in one set in her Bank of the West quarterfinals.
