US Open - Day 2

James Waterson reports on the latest news from day two of the US Open. French Open champion Li Na lost to Simona Halep in the first round, meaning that all of this year’s Grand Slam winners are out of the US Open. World No. 1 Novak Djokovic walked into the second round when his opponent, Conor Niland of Ireland, retired because of food poisoning with Djokovic leading 6-0, 5-1. David Ferrer, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Fernando were among the men’s winners of the day. American 22-year-old Donald Young made history as he became the first American to win a match on the National Tennis Center’s new Court 17.
