After Djokovic reigned over hardcourts at the beginning of 2011, Rafael Nadal is back in action on clay, winning his 7th Monte Carlo Rolex Masters title and breaking some records in the process. Also accepting awards in Monaco were world #1 doubles duo Bob and Mike Bryan. This makes their 70th world-tour level title. Rafa will be competing in Barcelona, and so would Andy Murray, except for a troubling elbow injury. In the latest Fed Cup battles, Italy lost out to Russia, which now holds a 3-0 lead thanks to the latest victory by Vera Zvonareva. Russia now meets the Czech Republic following their upset of Belgium.

It look like Kate Middleton may become England's official tennis royal to hand out the ladies' trophies and will be in the royal box at Wimbledon.
