The WTA Tour returns to San Diego this week for the Mercury Insurance Open and Andy Roddick was well prepared for the this week's ATP Legg Mason Tennis Classic

Lauren Lynch reports the latest from the US Open Series. Four American men- Andy Roddick, Mardy Fish, John Isner, and Ryan Sweeting- fell Thursday at the Legg Mason Open in Washington DC. For the first time in computer rankings history, an American player is not in the top 10. Roddick plans to pick himself off after his losses this season and to Gilles Simon. Coco Vandeweghe marks herself on the map after beating Vera Zvonareva in San Diego. The world no. 1 and 2, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, will be playing doubles together in Toronto. The Bryans Brothers and Sam Querry got to meet President Obama and play with kids at the White House.

Lauren Lynch reports the latest from the US Open Series. David Nalbandian came back to win his 11th Legg Mason title. Svetlana Kuznetsova came out on top after struggling against Angienszka Radwanska in San Diego. Jelena Jankovic and Caroline Wozniacki are top seeded in Cincinnati but Kim Clijsters is the second favorite, after Serena Williams, to win the US Open. In Toronto at the Rogers Cup, the world top three are back to play singles and doubles as Roger Federer celebrated his 29th birthday and Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal play doubles. Djokovic is protecting his ranking against Federer.

Lauren Lynch reports the latest from the US Open Series. The Williams sisters said they will join the US Fed Cup team against Italy but there is a question of whether they will show. Ana Ivanovic got dissed by Eugene LaPierre, the Roger's Cup tournament director, and is not playing the tournament but instead is going to Pilot Pen. David Nalbandian has been playing very well in the US Open Series and will be one to watch for the US Open.

Lauren Lynch reports the latest from the road to the US Open. Andy Murray defended Rogers Cup title and beat world no. 1 Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, coachless. He is now favored to win the US Open. Roger took the world no. 2 ranking from Novak Djokovic but will need to defend his points in Cincinnati. Kim Clijsters makes her mark on the US Open Series again by defeating Maria Sharapova for the Cincinnati title. Sharapova dropped out of the Rogers Cup in Montreal due to injury along with top players Venus Williams, Serena Williams, and Samantha Stosur. Venus formed a new relationship with Ralph Lauren Polo, is raising money for a good cause, and webcasting a tennis clinic.

Serena Williams, Justine Henin, Jo- Wilfried Tsonga, and Tommy Haas have dropped from the US Open while things are not looking great for John Isner and Juan Martin Del Potro.
