(June 21, 2010) One Grand Slam champion felt lost on the way to court and another exited with a first-round loss at Wimbledon today.

Playing her first Wimbledon match in four years, US Open champion Kim Clijsters crushed Italian Maria Elena Camerin, 6-0, 6-3 on the newly-opened 4,000-seat Court 2.

French Open champion Francesca Schiavone was not nearly as successful.

The fifth-seeded Italian was the highest seed to fall on the opening day of play, suffering a 7-6(0), 5-7, 1-6 loss to Russian Vera Dushevina. Schiavone, who played inspired tennis in becoming the first Italian woman to win a Grand Slam title in Paris earlier this month, needed a search party to find her game in the final set.

Clijsters' biggest problem today? Finding her way to the court.

"I was nervous and excited to be out there again," Clijsters said. "I had to find my way to get there — luckily a security guard knew where he was going because I actually had no idea."
