A Comeback appears to be in the works for Barbora Strycova, the 2019 Wimbledon doubles champion, six-time Billie Jean King Cup champion and Olympic bronze medallist at the 2016 games.

Strycova, a former World No.16 in singles and a former doubles No.1 who retired during the early years of the pandemic in May of 2021, mentioned that she might like to come back to the sport to say farewell to the sport in proper fashion. That day could come this summer. Strycova took to social media on Wednesday to announce that she’d see us all this summer, posting of herself training for a return.

“See you on courts in summer,” Strcova wrote on social media. “Again.”

Strycova gave birth to her son Vincent in September of 2021. She has not played on tour since the 2021 US Open.
