Subway debuts its first “never-ending” creative campaign, headlined by legends across the sports world, with a series of television commercials and digital ads highlighting the major menu changes. The Eat Fresh Refresh campaign is now live in U.S. restaurants nationwide and celebrates the biggest changes in Subway’s history, including improvements to almost every core product on the menu and what Subway touts as  "better digital and in-restaurant experience to ensure the brand delivers better choices every day."

The four superstar athletes appear in the ads promoting the core concept that to be fresh, you need to refresh. Watch Serena in three of the new Subway ads here:

Together, the athletes highlight the brand’s many upgrades through new television commercials as well as social and digital content.

NBA fans will recognize a familiar voice in the brand’s new advertising: Charles Barkley. As the new voice of Subway, Barkley lends his humor and familiar tone to the ads.

“The Subway Eat Fresh Refresh campaign brings to life how much new we have on our menu and is a significant moment in the brand’s transformation journey. As such, one single creative execution or spokesperson wouldn’t have been enough,” said Carrie Walsh, Chief Marketing Officer, Subway. "We developed a creative idea with a supporting cast of the biggest names in sports to share all of the great changes happening at Subway in a story that continues across multiple spots and formats.”

Starting today, July 13th, the Eat Fresh Refresh comes to life in all U.S. Subway restaurants.

The more than 20 menu updates include 11 new and improved ingredients, six all-new or returning sandwiches, and four revamped signature sandwiches. A highlight among the changes are two new fresh-baked breads: Artisan Italian and Hearty Multigrain. Subway says it worked with a panel of world-class bakers, over two years, to develop the perfect new bread recipes and baking method that makes every sandwich better.
