Giorgi's Raging Dad Causes Chair Umpire Concern

Fatherly fear factor came to court in Rome on Monday.

As Camila Giorgi battled Sara Sorribes Tormo in a near four-hour marathon, raging reaction from Giorgi's demonstrative father, Sergio Giorgi, caused so much concern for the chair umpire she called for back-up.

Sergio Giorgi had repeatedly injected himself into the match with some harsh language.

"Is it possible for you to stay around because Giorgi's father is very mad," the chair umpire said on her walkie-talkie. "And I would like to have someone [here]."

Sergio Giorgi, sporting wild white hair and a blue medical mask, can be seen looking over the chair umpire's shoulder as she makes the call.

Ultimately, Sorribes Tormo exploited 12 double faults from Camila Giorgi with a punishing 7-6(4), 6-7(7), 7-5 triumph that spanned three hours, 51 minutes.
