Federer May Be Retired But He's Still Raking in the Big Bucks

By Chris Oddo | @TheFanChild | Tuesday May 2, 2023

Roger Federer may have retired from tennis in 2022, but the Swiss maestro is still earning more money than any other tennis player – active or retired. Federer comes in ninth in Forbes list of the Top 10 highest-paid tennis players for 2023.

Tennis Express

The 20-time major champion raked in $95 million off the court, and another $.1 million on it, to earn a total of $95.1 million.

Federer is the only tennis player in the Top 10, and he joins a list that is topped by footballers Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Remarkably, Federer earns more off court than any of those players.

Here is the complete list:

Cristiano Ronaldo $136 million
Leo Messi $130M
Kylian Mbappé $120M
LeBron James $119M
Canelo Álvarez $110M
Dustin Johnson $107M
Phil Mickelson $106M
Stephen Curry $100M
Roger Federer $95M
Kevin Durant $89M
