Lorenzo Musetti has been playing eye-catching tennis ever since he hit the tour in 2020. Next week, he’ll do it as a member of the ATP’s Top-10.

Musetti’s 6-4, 6-2 beatdown of Alex de Minaur sent the Italian up to No.9 in the ATP’s live rankings and assured him a spot in the Top-10, which means the 23-year-old will become third youngest Italian man to ever achieve the feat, and the sixth Italian man in history to reach the Top-10
On Thursday he backed that win up with a 6-4 6-3 win over Gabriel Diallo to reach the semifinals in Madrid.
Musetti, who reached the semifinals at Wimbledon last year, then won bronze at the Paris Olympics, has won 18 of his last 21 matches on clay, and has reached back-to-back Masters 1000 semifinals, after reaching the final in Monte-Carlo in April.
The former junior No.1 is 16-5 on the season, and currently up to No.8 in the ATP live rankings. He will face Jack Drapr in semifinal action on Thursday in Madrid.
