Haddad Maia Shuts Down 2025 Season to Rest and Recover
Beatriz Haddad Maia will take several months to rest and recover after a grueling 2025 season.
The Brazilian, ranked No.40 in singles and No.33 in doubles, posted the news on her Instagram on Monday.

“I’m wrapping up my 2025 season a little ahead of schedule so that I can rest my body and mind for a longer period,” she wrote. “Rest assured that I will be back stronger and the best is yet to come.”
The former world No.1 went 16-26 on the season in singles, going 2-6 against the Top 20 and recording a best result on the red clay in Strasbourg, where she reached the semifinals. Haddada Maia went 6-4 at the majors, reaching the round of 16 at the US Open.
