Done and dusted! An incredible Roland Garros fortnight is in the books. But before we say goodbye let's take one last number-crunching spin back through Paris. Here is #RG19, By the Numbers...

12

The number of titles won by Rafael Nadal at Roland Garros. The Spaniard now stands alone, winning more major singles titles at a single event than any other player, male or female.

3-12

The combined record of this year’s four women’s singles semi-finalists at Roland Garros prior to 2019. Johanna Konta (0-4), Ash Barty (2-5), Amanda Anisimova (0-1) and Marketa Vondrousova (1-2) all had epic runs on the terre battue in 2019.

18

Number of Grand Slam titles captured by Rafael Nadal, which puts him two shy of Roger Federer’s all-time record. Which player ends up with more majors when it is all said and done?

10

The difference in age between the average age of all four women’s semi-finalists (22) and all four men’s semi-finalists (32) at Roland Garros. The women’s singles final between Barty and Vondrousova was the youngest women’s singles final at a major since 2008 Roland Garros (Ivanovic v Safina).

2009

The last time two teenagers reached the semi-finals at the same major. Marketa Vondrousova (19) and Amanda Anisimova (17) are the first pair of teenagers to reach the semis at Roland Garros since 2001.

26

The length of Novak Djokovic’s Grand Slam winning streak, which was stopped by Dominic Thiem in the semi-finals in Paris. Naomi Osaka’s 16-match Grand Slam winning streak came to a halt in the third round against Katerina Siniakova.

6-0

Rafael Nadal improved to 6-0 lifetime against Roger Federer on clay and 14-2 lifetime on clay against the Swiss. His victory over Federer in the semis improves his career record to 24-15 against his longtime rival.

1973

By winning the title Ashleigh Barty becomes the first Aussie to win in Paris since Margaret Court in 1973. She also climbs to No.2 in the rankings, becoming the first Australian women to hold a Top 2 ranking since 1976.

5:09

The longest match of #RG19, which was contested by Stan Wawrinka and Stefanos Tsitsipas in the round of 16.

3

Number of WTA teenagers that reached the second week at Roland Garros. Iga Swiatek, Vondrousova and Anismova were the first trio to reach that far at a major since the 2009 U.S. Open.

93-2

Rafael Nadal’s lifetime record at Roland Garros. Nadal became the oldest men’s singles champion at Roland Garros since 1972 by winning the title at 33 year and six days of age. Only two players—Robin Soderling and Novak Djokovic—have ever defeated the King of Clay at Roland Garros. Nadal is 12-0 in Roland Garros semi-finals and 12-0 in Roland Garros finals.

10

Number of Grand Slam titles won in succession by the big three of Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer. This current streak marks the third longest streak by the three players in terms of consecutive Grand Slam titles won.

105-0

Nadal’s lifetime record, including Davis Cup matches, in best-of-five matches on clay when he has secured the opening set.

1

Kristina Mladenovic ends the 33-week run of Katerina Siniakova at the top of the WTA doubles rankings. She claims the title with Timea Babos and becomes the 42nd player to claim the WTA’s No.1 doubles ranking.

2

He didn’t win the title but Dominic Thiem did become the first Austrian to reach multiple Grand Slam finals by taking his spot in the title match against Rafael Nadal.

41

#RG19 marked the first time in 41 years that a women’s singles semi-final lineup did not include one player with a previous Grand Slam final to her name.

1997

17-year-old Ananda Anisimova became the youngest American to reach a Grand Slam semi-final since Venus Williams at the 1997 U.S. Open. She also became the youngest women’s singles Grand Slam semi-finalist since 2007 and the youngest at Roland Garros since 2006.

Anisimova is the first player born in the 2000s, male or female to reach the quarter-finals or semi-finals at a major.
