Karolina Muchova

Karolina Muchova powered into the Seoul final and will face red-hot Magda Linette for a shot in the final.

Two low key breakout players of 2019 will meet for a title on Sunday in Seoul.

Bronx champion Magda Linette, winner of 15 of her last 17 matches, will face Wimbledon quarterfinalist Karolina Muchova in the Korea Open final.

Both players are competing in their second final of 2019—Muchova fell in her maiden WTA final at Prague, while Linette claimed the Bronx title just prior to the US Open.

Muchova knocked off China’s Wang Yafan 7-6(5) 6-4 in 2:02 on Saturday, while Linette edged second-seeded Ekaterina Alexandrova 7-6(5) 7-6(7).

Muchova, now 21-10 at the WTA-level this season, lost to linette in a tense three-set quarterfinal at the Bronx this summer.

Linette earned 12 break points and converted two against second-seeded Alexandrova on Saturday.
