Davidovich Fokina made 80 percent of his first serves in the match but he was unable to hold serve with any regularity. He was broken five times by Ramos Vinolas, who reached his tenth career final.

Ramos-Vinolas will bid for his third career title on Sunday against Cameron Norrie. The Brit took down Marin Cilic 7-6(5), 7-5 to notch his 18th win of 2021. Norrie, who has won seven of his last eight matches, is 18-8 on the season will bid for his first ATP title tomorrow.

“I am playing good. I am competing really well and I am just really happy with myself,” Norrie said. “I am keeping a really consistent level, even on days I am not quite feeling [perfect]. I am still digging in there and making it physical and playing on my terms, being the one dictating points. I think that is the reason why I am having a bit of success. I just want to keep improving and keep getting better.”

Ramos-Vinolas hold the 2-0 lifetime edge over Norrie, with both his wins coming on clay.
