The 20-year-old stretches her current winning streak to 19 victories – she dropped just 45 points across wins over Mihaela Buzarnescu and Andreea Prisacariu this weekend, needing just 102 minutes to win both matches.

“I’m really proud of us,” Swiatek said. “I was really working hard for that even though I didn’t play [BJK Cup] last year. I feel like it’s been a long journey. It took us a few years, step by step, to progress and qualify finally.”

Magdalena Frech and Alicja Rosolska closed out the weekend with a doubles victory, 5-7(7), 6-3, 10-5, over Buzarnescu and Andreea Mitu.

“All the girls were working so hard over the year,” Rosolska said. “It’s not just today. We’ve been working really hard with the captain to make this team so strong.”

Kazakhstan Stops Kerber and Germany

Angelique Kerber’s tough weekend continued on Saturday, as the German fell to hard-serving Elena Rybakina, 4-6, 6-3, 7-5, which clinched Kazakhstan’s victory over Germany in Nur-Sultan. “It was a really tough one,” Kerber said. “I was trying to push myself, the team was pushing me. It’s always an honor and I’m really proud to play for my country. I have everything and left my heart on the court.”

Czechs Edge Great Britain in Deciding Doubles

Marketa Vondrousova powered past Emma Raducanu, 6-1, 6-1, setting the tone for the Czech Republic in Saturday's third rubber at Prague, then returned to pair with Karolina Muchova to wrap up the victory in the doubles, 6-1, 7-5 over Harriet Dart and Katie Swan.

Dart had forced a deciding doubles rubber by taking out 16-year-old Linda Fruhvirtova, 6-0, 5-7, 6-2.
