Andy Murray

Andy Murray and Ivan Lendl will begin a third journey together next month.

Andy Murray an Ivan Lendl are getting the band back together. The 34-year-old has re-enlisted the man who helped him win his three Grand Slam titles- they will begin working together in the next month in the United States.

Murray, who worked briefly with Esteban Carril and Jan de Witt this year after parting ways with Jamie Delgado last winter, has returned to the Top-100 for the first time since 2018 on February 7. He is currently ranked 84, and is seeking his 700th career win next week at Indian Wells, where he has accepted a wild card.

Murray worked with Lendl on two separate stints in the past. From 2011 to 2014, Murray had three key triumphs with Lendl he won his Wimbledon gold medal in 2012, then the US Open title in the same year before winning his maiden Wimbledon title in 2013.

From 2016 to 2017 the pair were reunited as Murray claimed a second Olympic gold and clinched the No.1 ranking for the first time (Nov 7 of 2016, held through August 20, 2017) - the Scot also won his second Wimbledon crown (in 2016).

The pair will reportedly start training together next month, after the Miami Open. Murray will skip the 2022 clay season entirely, so Wimbledon will be their first big target.
