Iga Swiatek is at it again…

The Pole dropped a double bagel on Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova on Friday in Rome to reach the third round. Before we look ahead to the World No.1’s next match, let’s have a look at the numbers.

12 – Swiatek, the two-time defending champion in Rome, stretches her winning streak at the Foro Italico to 12 matches.

12 - Of the sets that Swiatek has won at the WTA 1000 level, 12 percent have come via the bagel. A whopping number...

6 – Swiatek is the sixth woman in the Open Era to win 12 or more consecutive matches in Rome, joining Chris Evert, Conchita Martinez, Gabriela Sabatini, Maria Sharapova, and Serena Williams.

1 – Swiatek has dropped just one set in those 12 wins, to Barbora Krejcikova in her 3-6, 7-6(5), 7-5 triumph in the round of 16 in 2021.

5 – Swiatek has recorded five bagel sets in Rome, in 13 lifetime matches.

20 – Swiatek has won her last 20 sets contested at Rome.

2 – Swiatek has recorded two double bagels in Rome. The other came in the 2021 final against Karolina Pliskova. Swiatek is just the second player to have multiple 6-0, 6-0 wins in Rome – Chris Evert is the other.

6 – Per WTA Media, since the introduction of the WTA-1000 level in 2009, only Simona Halep has posted more 6-0 sets at this level (7) than Swiatek (6).

38 – Swiatek has recorded 38 bagel sets since the start of 2021, going 35-0 in those matches.

30 – Thirty of those bagel sets have come since the start of 2022. 21 of those have come on hard courts, eight on clay, and the other on grass.

Swiatek will face either Lesia Tsurenko or Bernarda Pera in the third round at Rome.
