Juan Martin del Potro earned his 300th career ATP victory on Friday at the Swiss Indoors in Basel, taking out qualifier Paul-Henri Mathieu 6-4, 6-4 to reach the semifinals.

Del Potro, who will face Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin in the semifinals on Saturday, becomes just the fifth Argentine to reach the 300-win plateau.

Del Potro cracked 11 aces and only lost six points on serve all evening. The Argentine is searching for his fourth title of his career and is looking to repeat as champion in Basel.
Del Potro is the sixth ATP player to reach the 300-win mark in 2013. Nicolas Almagro, Feliciano Lopez, Jurgen Melzer, Gilles Simon and Mardy Fish are the others.
