(July 31, 2011) Marcel Granollers of Spain won his second ATP Tour title after he defeated World No 20. Fernando Verdasco 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 at the Swiss Open in Gstaad, Switzerland, on Sunday.

Granollers, ranked No. 45 in singles, has been more prolific on the doubles circuit, where he is ranked No. 25 and has six titles.

But on Sunday, he outplayed Verdasco. He won 72 percent of his service points and 36 percent of his returning points, and he broke his opponent twice while he was broken only once.

Granollers is the seventh seed in next week's Bet-at-Home Tennis Championships in Kitzbuhel, Austria.

His last title was the 2008 U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships in Houston, Texas.
