The first edition of Wimbledon Media Mash takes you all around the grounds of SW19 without having to leave your computer monitor.

Couldn’t make your way to SW 19 this year? No worries, we’ve got you covered. Take a tour around the hallowed grounds of the All England Club without ever leaving your computer monitor with the Media Mash.

Upon entering the gates a magical feeling overcomes even the most ardent non-believiers… And away we go!!!

And, it didn’t take long for the upsets to start brewing. Sloane Stephens had her impressive run of reaching the second week at six consecutive majors snapped like a dry twig in the heat of summer. Though Maria Kirilenko is certainly NOT your average No. 109 in the world…

All eyes were on the tennis in the first hour or so of Day 1, and then, suddenly, all eyes were on the NAKED photos of tennis players, when news broke that Tomas “Tan Lines” Berdych and Venus Williams would be featured in the 2014 edition of ESPN’s body issue.

We believe this is what the post-match press conference is for!

The man who redefined the term “LIVING LARGE” was in attendance to see defending champion Andy Murray win in straight sets over David Goffin. Good luck if your seat is behind Shaq’s!!!

You can rest assured that Andy Murray and Amelie Mauresmo will do whatever they can to prove the 86 percent that voted “no” wrong. Will they succeed?

So let us get this straight… It was Murray first, then Goffin?

Okay, let’s play a game: You watch this and we dare you not to laugh, and… WE WIN!!!

How nice would it be to spend the day hovering above Wimbledon? Look at all that gorgeous grass!

We are so not ready for fantasy tennis—can you blame us for being perfectly happy with the reality of this brilliant sport?—but if Laura Robson says it’s cool, maybe we need to rethink?

Ernests Gulbis notched a relatively ho-hum straight-sets win over Jurgen Zopp in round one, but in the press room, the Latvian doesn’t do ho-hum. He produced the quote of the day, and, if you check back with us at the end of the fortnight, you might find that he also produced the quote of the tournament. Vampires? Too funny.

Breaking news: Fabio Fognini got into an argument with officials during his five-set victory over American Alex Kuznetsov today. Oh, and in other shocking news, Wimbledon’s grass was green.

This artistic perspective of Marcos Baghdatis at net gets our vote for offbeat Wimbledon of Day 1. Baghdatis took down the wildly athletic Dustin Brown in four sets.

Anybody up for a game of “Caption this?” We’ll go first: “Hey umpire, your braina ees so smalla, ees like dis big!”

Last but not least: Well it is Wimbledon. Rain drops halted play at approximately 8 p.m., with only four of the 62 matches on the slate yet completed.
