Roger Federer Renews Contract with Swiss Indoors in Basel


According to multiple sources, Roger Federer has come to an agreement with his hometown tournament, the Swiss Indoors Basel, which takes place this year from October 18-24. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but it is being reported that past tensions have been smoothed out between Federer and the tournament's director Roger Brennwald.

Last year, the five-time champion played the event without a contract, after the two sides were unable to sign a long-term deal, reportedly disagreeing over appearance fees.

Rafael Nadal, Stan Wawrinka, Milos Raonic and Grigor Dimitrov are also scheduled to play the event this October.
