Video: Nadal Talks 300th Clay Win, Rough Patch in Second Set

“Here we are, after long career, and the chance to arrive at this good number,” said a humble Rafael Nadal after his 6-1, 6-3 victory over Andreas Seppi at the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters on Thursday. Though Nadal was pleased with his 300th career clay-court victory—note the smiles during the interview—he still found something to critique about a rough patch during the second set of his milestone win.

The Spaniard improves to 50-2 at Monte-Carlo, and 300-21 on clay, for his career.

Nadal will bid to tie Jose-Luis Clerc for tenth on the ATP's all-time clay-court victory list on Friday, when he faces David Ferrer in the quarterfinals.
