Novak Djokovic begins his record 364th week at the top of the ATP rankings on Monday April 4, with a slim margin over Daniil Medvedev, who failed to capitalize on his chance to reclaim top status. Medvedev fell in the quarterfinals to Hubert Hurkacz at Miami – had he won the match he’d be enjoying his fourth week at No.1.

Making matters worse for Medvedev is the fact that he’s undergone surgery for a hernia and is expected to miss 1-2 months. Meanwhile, Djokovic, who leads Medvedev by just 10 points in the ATP's 52-week rolling rankings, is training for next week’s Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters.

Alcaraz Rises to 11, Ruud to 7

Jumping up five spots on the strength of his Miami Open title, Spain's Carlos Alcaraz reaches No.11 in today's rankings. The 18-year-old was ranked 133 at this time last year - it has been a remarkable rise.

His victim in the final, Norway's Casper Ruud, rises to No.7 after becoming the first player from Norway to ever reach a Masters 1000 final.

Alcaraz, who is now 18-2 on the season with two titles, is just 29 points behind Great Britain’s Cameron Norrie for the No.10 spot. Norrie jumps into the Top-10 for the first time, rising two spots to crack the milestone. The 26-year-old British No.1 is 15-8 on the season.

Cerundolo Flies to 51

Argentina’s Francisco Cerundolo had a magnificent week in Miami, reaching the semifinals on his Masters 1000 debut, thanks to wins over Reilly Opelka, Gael Monfils, Frances Tiafoe and Jannik Sinner (via retirement after five games). For his efforts, the 23-year-old jumps 52 spots to a career-high ranking of 51.

Cerundolo is the biggest riser inside the Top-100.
