The fabled old Grandstand Court, first put in play in 1978 at the U.S. Open, is back in play for one more year. Shuttered after 2015 due to extensive renovation at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queen’s, the tournament announced that they are bringing it back into play for one more season due to what they called “court imperfections” on Court No. 10.

Here’s the U.S. Open’s official statement, as tweeted by USA Today’s Nick McCarvel:


The Grandstand Court, which abuts Louis Armstrong Court and features a high catwalk that has allowed many photographers to produce iconic tennis imagery, was a much beloved U.S. Open staple.
